Share your joy with the world

The first thing to do once you're engaged is share your joy with the world. Take engagement photos to share with relatives that live out of town. Also throw an engagement party so both families can meet one another. This is the time to let loose and have fun before all the planning begins. Don't worry about throwing an elaborate engagement party. Have a friend or family member host the party at their house or rent out a space if a lot of people are attending. Do something simple when it comes to decorations like balloons in the wedding colors. Also have a guest book available for everyone to sign with their address  when its time to mail the save the dates and wedding invitations.
